Grand Imaginings

Image. Imago Dei. Imagination.
Rage? Temper? Frustration?
Question and ponder,
Sense and Wonder.
How can I be made
In the Image of God?
From Dust, created, Creation.
The Fall? The Flood? - Salvation?
Puzzle and mystery,
Mankind's fluid history.
How can we be made
In the Image of God?
Man. Woman. Together.
One flesh, a knot, a tether.
Alone we were not to be
Never Alone is He.
Maybe that's how
We copy the Image of God?
Trinity. Angels. Elohim.
A mighty assembly, it would seem.
Christ started it with the Twelve.
Course of history brings church bells.
Maybe that's how
We copy the Image of God?
Love. Patient. Kind.
Seek Him first, and find.
If God Himself is Love
We let love fly like a dove.
Maybe that's how
We copy the Image of God?
Child. Teen. A man.
On God's Word I stand.
Life's little stages,
With Christ, fewer rages.
I sure am trying
To copy the Image of God.
Church. Schism. Division.
Hard to imagine as Christ's vision.
But Seven churches in a Plan
On God's Word, One Church Stands.
We sure are trying
To copy the Image of God.
Mirror. Reflect. Redemption.
Christ is our exemption.
He always planned to restore.
Like eagles we will soar.
Only through Christ
Can we copy the Image of God.
